| Customer Reviews: Short on Selling- Long on Long-Term Care June 9, 2003 Dave Sivertson (Mason, OH United States) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
As a basic primer on long-term care insurance this book is fine, although I much prefer The Complete Idiot's Guide to Long-Term Care Planning by Marilee Driscoll. As a book on how to sell LTC I did not find any value in the book at all.
Wrong title and then there's even more that's very wrong!! June 28, 2003 24 out of 24 found this review helpful
The title of the book should have been "What is Long Term Care Insurance" ... which isn't much more than what you could get out of any free state book from your local department of insurance! Then, inside the book it offers a 'Power Sales Kit' for a mere $ and a copy of this book comes with it! Problem is, I already have this book, I bought it from Amazon. If you call up and attempt to get 'only' the sales kit (since you have already bought the book here) YOU CAN'T! You have to buy this book again and the sales kit which would leave me with two of these books of which as I mentioned, is not a sales book or a very poor one. I feel robbed by this guy and his publisher or his Nat'l Underwriter Company. Just pure greed I guess, doesn't he see this - I do! I didn't get what I wanted, then to get what I wanted - I have to buy more of what I originally didn't want. Sorry, not me. Why offer a sales kit with a different sales book when the title suggested it was in the first one? Why wasn't the sales kit offered here on Amazon. The answer is greed I guess. Probably the sales kit offers 'sales kit II' where if you buy part II for another $ you can then get it in english?!!
A greedy writer and a thief April 7, 2004 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This book sold only for retail price of $30 (paperback), not even a powerhouse such as amazon can give any discount whatsoever. the title is so misleading. This is about what long term care is not how to sell it. The writer used the desparation of this subject to steal money from all the agents who would like to find out more about LTCI. This is sad but true, this writer is a thief.
