Product Description
In this book, Barry Kaye presents his 45 years of experience in the life insurance industry in a straight-forward, easy to read approach. Over this time, he has observed that there are certain right and wrong approaches to purchasing the correct coverage to optimize your estate at death. He points out how mistakes are made by some professionals that insist on holding fast to certain antiquated biases and misconceptions toward life insurance. The 30 concepts presented in this book are broken down into six major approaches and 24 secondary ideas that should make a major difference to the bottom line. Many of the concepts include a right and wrong approach that compares conventional wisdom against Barry Kaye s innovative approaches to creating, preserving and optimizing wealth. You will see for yourself how the leverage and flexibility of life insurance might be used to enhance what you leave to your favorite charities and heirs. Barry Kaye has authored eight books including: Save A Fortune On Your Life Insurance, Save A Fortune On Your Estate Taxes, Die Rich and Tax Free, Live Rich, The Investment Alternative and Die Rich 2. He is a nationally sought after speaker and has conducted thousands of public seminars, sharing information that has helped some of America s wealthiest families save millions on estate taxes and optimize what they leave to their heirs and favorite charities.

5 out of 5 stars Ideas worth exploring   October 3, 2007

Life insurance is a widely misunderstood financial product, as evidenced by the first reviewer of this book. Barry Kaye is a renowned expert in the field, has published several books discussing creative applications for life insurance, and has thus helped his clients create untold millions, and at the same time helped them to save on their taxes.

All financial products exist for a purpose, thus no product can be deemed good or bad without making reference to an individuals' circumstances. To issue a blanket dismissal of the creative uses of life insurance, as the previous reviewer did, is simply ignorant. Sadly, we find views like this expressed all too often by so-called 'financial planners' and accountants, each of whom possess little if any formal education in insurance.

I've read Barry Kaye's books and I can tell you that that contain many creative strategies. Will they all apply to your situation? No. But very likely some will, and one could have a very positive effect on your financial estate.

Finally, to denounce life insurance because it compensates an agent through commission is a fallacious argument. One can get bad advice by paying a fee just as easily as one can by paying a commission.

1 out of 5 stars Buying life insurance as an investement is a BAD idea   October 1, 2007

The ONLY one getting rich on this idea is the Agent selling these policies and the companies involved.

ONLY buy life insurance if you need the death benefit PERIOD.

Too many of these so called self proclaimed experts think life insurance is the solution to everything. If it wasn't for the HUGE commissions no one would be touting these schemes.

Using a finance company to pay for your life insurance is just another of many examples of how the Agent gets rich at the expense of the policyholder.

What happens to the loan if it goes into default, PHANTOM income?

Stay away from these guys promoting life insurance as a tax free investment!!!!!
